Why an Orthodontist?
Because you want your orthodontic treatment done correctly the first time!
An Orthodontist is a dentist that has received three additional years of university training, and has received a Specialty Degree in Orthodontics. Only an Orthodontist can hold an Orthodontic Specialty license. In addition, only an Orthodontist may be a member of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) and proudly display the AAO logo as seen below.
Orthodontic treatment is more than just straightening teeth. An Orthodontist is uniquely qualified to diagnose orthodontic problems and develop the best course of treatment for each individual patient to create their perfect smile and to ensure correct dental and skeletal positioning for optimal long-term function and enhanced facial appearance.
The American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) recommends that children be seen by an Orthodontist by age 7 to be evaluated for any potential or developing orthodontic problems. In addition to your comprehensive orthodontic treatment plan, an Orthodontist coordinates with other dental specialists and your general dentist to address any and all related dental concerns for an optimal treatment result.
Make sure that the person providing your orthodontic treatment is a member of the

Why Harrison Orthodontics?
At Harrison Orthodontics, we strive to provide patients with the best orthodontic experience possible and welcome them as part of our Harrison Orthodontics family!
In addition to his Specialty Degree in Orthodontics, Dr. Mike Harrison holds a Specialty Degree in Pediatric Dentistry, further benefitting the needs of our younger patients. Dr. Harrison and his team also routinely attend continuing education courses to remain current and stay abreast of the latest advancements in orthodontics.
We offer a Complimentary Examination to our new patients. At this appointment our Treatment Coordinator will take photographs and a 3-D image utilizing our state-of-the-art iCAT FLEX 3D imaging scanner. The scanner provides numerous x-rays and images with only a fraction of the radiation that you would receive from a routine dental x-ray! Dr. Harrison will also perform an extensive examination and then will spend ample time with you, reviewing his findings, discussing your treatment options, and answering any treatment questions you may have. Our Financial Coordinator will work with you to create a financial arrangement that accommodates your unique financial situation and will file any orthodontic insurance you may have. At Harrison Orthodontics, we believe that everyone should have the benefit of a beautiful smile and we will work with you to make this goal possible!
During your treatment, our friendly and welcoming team will do their very best to provide you with the best orthodontic experience possible.
